Developing leaders for the 21st century

Effective leadership development will have a significant impact on organisational performance, both for the leaders themselves and the staff they lead. As such, even a small shift in leadership behaviour can have significant flow on effects to the rest of the organisation.

When Do You Need Leadership Development?

Leadership Development programs are appropriate when;

  • Staff / Managers are moving into their first leadership role
  • Leadership teams need to improve their own performance
  • Organisations want to develop the next generation of leadership

What Will You Achieve?

Through Leadership Development, outcomes that can be achieved include;

  • Identifying and developing your leadership style
  • Increased self awareness (including using tools such as MBTI and 360 Feedback)
  • Improved self-confidence and belief in ones own ability
  • Mutually beneficial relationships with staff, customers and stakeholders
  • Improved capability to influence others
  • Understanding how to develop others

How Are Leadership Development Programs Delivered?

Leadership Development Programs vary in length and approach. They can be run over one or several days, either on day attendance or in residential format, in block format or delivered over several months. Leaders can participate as leadership teams, mixed, or as nominated attendees that are part of an organisations leadership development program.

The most effective programs allow time to apply learning in the real world. As such, I do suggest the programs be run over several months.
